Neutral from a pH standpoint simply means the solution is not acidic or alkaline on the pH scale. At a pH of 7, the solution is considered to be “neutral”. Adding a mild alkaline, and vice versa, can neutralize an acid. In the car wash industry, this process of neutralization is called a “two-step process”. Note: For disposal purposes, a pH of 5 to 9 is considered neutral.
